How to Calculate Crypto Profit By Formula

Net Profit = (Sell Price × Quantity Sold − Selling Fee) − (Buy Price × Quantity Bought + Buying Fee)

Here is a worked example:

• You buy 0.05 BTC at $60,000 → cost = $3,000, plus a 0.2% buying fee = $6. Total spent = $3,006.
• You later sell 0.05 BTC at $68,000 → proceeds = $3,400, minus a 0.2% selling fee = $6.80. Net received = $3,393.20.
• Real profit = $3,393.20 − $3,006 = $387.20, not the $400 a naive calculation would show.
